Last Best Candles was established by Marc Taerea and Jamie Lawrence. They began making candles in 2001 as gifts for friends and family. After years of research and development, they discovered the recipe that makes Last Best Candles the great burning candles they are today.

In the spring of 2004, they launched their line of candles with Marc handling production and Jamie in charge of sales. Since then, Last Best Candles has expanded its line of candle scents and variety of sizes. They can now be found in several retailers in Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Oregon, Alaska, Washington, and South Dakota.

In Fall 2005, Jamie purchased Marc's interest in the company and took over all aspects of the business. Winter of 2005 saw the launching of LastBestCandles.com, a full service, e-commerce website.

Last Best Candles has changed its focus over the last few years and is specializing in wholesale rather than retail business, and 2010 will be the last year Jamie travels to craft shows.  So keep an eye on the schedule for the last handfull of shows.
