Last Best Candles was established by Marc Taerea and Jamie Lawrence. They began making candles in 2001 as gifts for friends and family. After years of research and development, they discovered the recipe that makes Last Best Candles the great burning candles they are today.

In the spring of 2004, they launched their line of candles with Marc handling production and Jamie in charge of sales. Since then, Last Best Candles has expanded its line of candle scents and variety of sizes. They can now be found in several retailers in Montana and Wyoming.

In Fall 2005, Jamie purchased Marc's interest in the company and took over all aspects of the business. Winter of 2005 saw the launching of LastBestCandles.com, a full service, e-commerce website. Fall 2006 saw the grand opening of our very own retail store in downtown Missoula.

Jamie travels from May through December for craft shows in the inland Northwest, as well as the Missoula People's Market in the summer months.
